What is the iPad 3 Retina Display feature?
The iPad 3 comes with a new feature known as Retina Display that makes apps, movies and Internet surfing look really good. In a near future, most App sizes are going to grow to accommodate higher resolution graphics and images.
Retina Display resolution is 2048×1536 and fills the 9.7 inches iPad screen with 3.1 million pixels. iPad’s Retina display are so small (more than 300 pixels per inch) that they almost can’t be seen by the human eye at a normal viewing distance. Just as reference, most laptops come with 15-inch 1920×1080 resolution, while some desktop monitors have 2560×1600 resolution.
