What is Audio Processor?
Audio Processor is a complete solution for Multimedia Editing. In audio broadcasting, the audio processor must:
* Prevent overmodulation, and minimize it when it occurs.
* Maximize overall loudness.
* Compensate for non-linear transmitters, more common with medium wave and shortwave broadcasting.
To refine an audio signal, any number of processors may be used. Which processors are needed is determined by the application and listening environment. Some common processors include compressors, limiters, gates, expanders, and filters. Typically, a processing device will be capable of a combination of these functions.
