A lumen is a measure of the quantity of light emitted from a constant light source across one square meter. It symbol is lm.
A lumen describe how much light is contained in a certain area. The lumen is part of a group of standard measurements known as the photometry group, which measure different aspects of light.
Lumens are the most common measurement term used for describing light output from a projector.
