LCD is a display technology involving optical glass panels whose opacity can be controlled by electrical signals. Each pixel acts as a shutter, to modulate light coming from the lamp that is projected onto the screen. This is a reFlective display technology where one glass substrate is attached to a silicon chip which is coated with Liquid Crystal.
